Hi, I’m Tom - Interview Facilitator and Career Coach. Having interviewed over 1000 candidates over my 25+ year career, I’ve seen it all where hiring is concerned! The truth is: whilst many of us feel like we should be able to easily run an interview and ask the right questions, there’s so much more to know about interview techniques! I’ve been a part of the process from all sides - a hiring manager, a recruiter, and an interview trainer - so I know how important it is to have faith in your interview process, but also how hard finding good talent can be. That’s why I trained as a facilitator - so I can help businesses like yours make the right hire for the right reasons.

I am a career coach and interview specialist. Most recently, I ran Early Careers Recruitment Delivery at Sky. Prior to this, I spent 5 years as Head of Careers, Global Industries at Oxford's Said Business School, and prior to that was at Amazon for 11years, running MBA campus recruitment across Europe.
I have a 25+year career with 6 different pivots. I work as a freelance consultant in two main areas: 1) coaching individuals on their career journey, including career planning, networking strategies and interview preparation (typically via education institutions); and 2) working with organisations to train their staff on using behavioural interviewing effectively.
I have interviewed over 1k candidates over a 25+year career. I have been a hiring manager, a recruiter, and have trained hundreds of staff on how to interview effectively. I have been trained as a facilitator and delivered hundreds of workshops.
This combination of extensive practical experience and facilitation/coaching mean that I am uniquely positioned to help staff become better interviewers. This helps organisations be more consistent in their recruiting practices, in turn providing better candidate experience. This work has included helping SMEs, education institutions, EdTech providers, and business accelerators.
I work with some of the top business schools in the world, providing on-demand career service support. I utilise my extensive experience as an interviewer to deliver market-representative mock interviews and provide coaching feedback, either 1-on-1 or small group workshops.
I also support students with career planning and networking, again utilising my experience both working in industry, and as a career coach, to help students in multiple elements of their career journey. I am used to working with diverse students across all programmes including Masters, MBAs and EMBAs.
